Garden Club visit

Garden Club visit | 04/05/2023 | 3:00 pm-5:00 pm

Garden Club visit

The garden club invites you to discover the beautiful gardens in the area!

This will be a guided visit of the Angers University School of Pharmacy Botanic Garden 16 Boulevard Daviers (just after the blood center)
More information here!

This 100-year-old garden of 8000 square meters includes a greenhouse with tropical plants, a garden with medicinal plants, and aquatic plants that are fed by an artificial river. One of our members, Nicole Genard, will help the head gardener so that we can have our tour in English. The cost for this visit is 5€.

There will be a place for people to enjoy their snacks afterward. If your snacks leave crumbs, or if you bring something to share – please be sure to bring paper plates, napkins, a knife, etc., so that we don’t leave them with any clean-up work.

For those interested in joining for lunch prior to the visit, reservations have been made at Bouillon Baron for 12:30, which is located at 11 avenue Marie Talet. They offer a three-course menu that changes daily for 19€ (drinks extra). The restaurant is next door to the Lycée Joachim du Bellay; for those taking the tram, get off at the St Serge Université stop.

Please send an email no later than April 14th (prior to the school holidays) to GardenClubELLIA@yahoo.com to let us know if you will be joining us. Specify whether you will come just for the visit or if you will come for the visit AND the lunch. Thank you!
