Andrew Painter’s Art Show | 22/02/2019-19/03/2019 | All Day

Andrew Painter's Art Show

Stop by the library from February 22nd to March 19th during opening hours to see Andrew Painter’s Art Show! The exhibition is free and open to the public!

Andrew Painter is a well-traveled, British painter who moved to Angers in 1988. His colorful, lively work is inspired by anything and everything in the world around him. He enjoys, above all, seeing people interpret his work in different ways. His paintings seem to take on a life of their own and his recent work reflects on both “change” and “difference”. The HAPPENING: Poetry, Music & Painting | 09/03/2019 | 5:00 pm-7:00 pm

The HAPPENING: Poetry, Music & Painting

Take a talented trio; Lisa Robertson a Canadian poet, Michel Saulnier a musician and Francky Criquet a painter, put them in the same room in front of an audience and see what happens! That’s the idea behind a happening, put the raw ingredients together and let inspiration strike, creating a unique, one-time-only performance that is not to be missed!

This event is part of the Printemps des Poètes 2019 (the French national celebration of poetry) which has been organized with the collaboration of the MIEL (Maison internationale des écritures et des littératures) and the support of the Ville d’Angers. There will also be poetry recitals by MIEL members.

This event will be in French and English, it is free and open to the public, no reservations necessary but seating is limited. Refreshments and conversation to follow.
