Saturday Reading Group
![]() |
The Saturday Reading Group is for anyone who loves to read, socialize in English, and meet new people. The June read for the group is The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal by Ben Mezrich. The high-energy tale of how two socially awkward students, trying to increase their chances with the opposite sex, ended up creating Facebook. The group will also be discussing the 2010 film « The Social Network ». The Social Network is director David Fincher’s equivalent of Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane: the story of a capitalist who is awe-inspiring in some ways, but tragic in others; enviably clever and driven, but also repellently ruthless and treacherous. Screenplay by Aaron Sorkin (author of The West Wing). Meetings are once a month on Saturday afternoons starting at 3 pm. Open to all library members. To sign up please contact Anne Kaar at bookgroup@ellia.org. Location: English-language Library in Angers |
