Garden Club visit
The garden club invites you to discover the beautiful gardens in the area! This free activity is open to library members and is organised once a month. The September visit will be at the Château de Bazouges-sur-le-Loir. The château is dramatically positioned on the banks of the River Loir, next to the last operating needle dam (barrage à aiguilles) in Sarthe with a 15th-century watermill. Built from the XV to XVII centuries, the château has a moat and towers, with traditional french terraced gardens. Both the mill and the explanatory exposé on the workings of the dam can be visited. Entrance fee is 6 euros. For more information and/or to sign up for this visit please send an email to gardenclub@ellia.org. Location: |
