Maureen Fant will be speaking on the subject of “Real Italian Food – What Does That Even Mean?”

Maureen B. Fant’s dual interests are Italian food and Roman archaeology—and anywhere they intersect. Her books include Sauces & Shapes: Pasta the Italian Way (IACP winner and James Beard finalist), Dictionary of Italian Cuisine, Women’s Life in Greece and Rome, and the Williams-Sonoma Foods of the World volume on Rome. She has taught ancient Roman food (theory) and Roman home cooking (practice).  She is a principal of Elifant Archaeo-Culinary Tours.  She lives in Rome.
