The Litfest? Want to know more?

Don’t miss Lemn Sissay’s appearance on Saturday. This is a truly remarkable event in that he is in demand world-wide as a speaker and yet has agreed to join us on the 25th June. Workshops include:

Ian Mathie, of the much-praised Africa series. Ian will inspire all those who want to shape real-life encounters into exciting prose.

Festival organiser, Gordon Simms, poet and playwright, suggests exercises for writing and presenting duologues.

Roger Elkin holds a Master class in poetry writing

and Katherine Gallagher offers ‘Masks,’ stimulating our imagination through exploring the concept of disguise.

The programme also includes a wide range of readings & discussions with a variety of authors including Patricia Duncker whose latest novel, Sophie and the Sibyl  is a wonderful evocation of the world of George Eliot. See all our events on:  www.stclementinlitfest.com

We’d  also like to remind you that the Segora writing competitions deadline is 15th June. For further details visit www.poetryproseandplays.com   Exciting and relevant theme for our vignette this time is ‘Water.’ We are delighted to have Roger Elkin (poetry)& Amanda Hodgkinson (short story) joining Gordon Simms(plays) and Ed Briggs(vignettes) as judge, making our 10th Segora a  very special competition.
