The BIG Quiz

The Big Quiz is back ! For one final fling in Rue Boisnet ! Yes, it’s the Boisnet Blockbuster Brainteaser ! On Sunday 8th February with the first questions at 2 o’clock sharp. Make sure you’re in your seat in time for blast-off. There will be questions, but they will be in all sorts of shapes, sizes and challenges. Wine, coffee, tea, snacks and cakes will be available all afternoon. All this for just 12 euros a head with all proceeds going to the library for its fundraising. Remember to bring your English-speaking French friends. The rules: Teams of 6….6 heads are better than one ! Prizes for the winning teams. Saturday Reading Group

The Saturday Reading Group is for anyone who loves to read, socialize in English, and meet new people. For this meeting, the group will read “The Promise » by Damon Galgut. Reading Shakespeare

Treat yourself to an afternoon of a collective reading of one of Shakespeare’s plays. This activity consists of watching a BBC production on DVD and then reading relative scenes. Come along and bring your knitting, Have a natter while you’re sitting, Or learn to knit with wool provided, Needles loaned and stitches guided. Knitted garments are très chic, So be in vogue and start this week. Knit and Natter is a free activity, open to all library members. No need to reserve, just come and enjoy! If anyone has some extra yarn please bring it in. |

Garden Club Annual Planning Meeting

Join the Garden Club on Thursday, Feb 5 for the annual planning meeting, where we will discuss and decide on which gardens to visit in 2026. The meeting will start at 2:30pm. All are welcome to join the lunch beforehand, at noon, at La Cour, 23 rue de la Roe. If you want to join for lunch, send your information to GardenClub@ellia.org no later than Jan 23. Otherwise just show up for the meeting at the library. |

Heure de conte en anglais pour enfants de 4 à 8 ans. Venez vêtus en pyjamas, apportez vos coussins et une couverture pour s’installer bien au chaud et écouter des contes en anglais. Gratuit et ouvert au public. Réservation obligatoire.
