Knit and Natter

Come along and bring your knitting, Have a natter while you’re sitting, Or learn to knit with wool provided, Needles loaned and stitches guided. Knitted garments are très chic, So be in vogue and start this week. Knit and Natter is a free activity, open to all library members. No need to reserve, just come and enjoy! If anyone has some extra yarn please bring it in. |
Coffee House

Join the library community for a special moment to talk about anything and everything (in English of course!) over a cup of coffee or tea. Coffee House is free and open to all library members. Just drop by, no need to reserve! |
Books and Tea

“Books and Tea” is a monthly meeting for bookworms and tea drinkers. Bring a book you’ve really enjoyed, talk about it and pass it on! The group meets from 2 to 3:30 at the tea shop in town called “Les Casse-Croûte de Suzy”. No need to sign up, just come and enjoy! |
Pizza and Board Games

Join us for our ever-popular game night and pizza party! Cost is 7 euros (covers pizza and non-alcoholic drinks, 5 euros for native English speakers and children under 13). Event starts at 6 pm sharp. Last entry at 6:15 pm. No reservations necessary, just come and enjoy! |
Reading Shakespeare

Treat yourself to an afternoon of a collective reading of one of Shakespeare’s plays. This activity consists of watching a BBC production on DVD and then reading relative scenes. Peter Bolos’ Photography Show

The art exhibition “Regards du hasard / Chance Looks” featuring photography by Peter Bolos opens on Thursday, September 12th at 6 PM and continues until Saturday, November 2nd during opening hours. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Join us at the opening for refreshments and to meet the artist! “To see takes time.” Georgia O’Keefe once said and since my teens, with my camera, I’ve found my way of seeing. A sense of place, a small event, a short story captured in a frame. – Peter Bolos

Volunteer Meeting!

Join us for the back-into-the-swing-of-things Volunteer Meeting on Wednesday, September 4th at 10 AM sharp. This is a call for volunteers and we’ve got good news. There’s big things planned for the Fall and we need your help! If you have some free time and would like to volunteer for the library in the coming year, come to this organizational meeting. At this meeting we will explain the different projects for the year ahead and ask you to think about in what ways you could play a part.
