English Camp Collégiens - Spring

ENGLISH CAMP COLLÉGIENS Spring 2026

Have some fun in English during the school holidays!

April 15, 16, 17  |  2 – 5pm

ENGLISH CAMP is a three-day immersive program designed specifically for collégiens. This program provides a unique opportunity to practice English in a supportive and enjoyable environment during school vacation.

Program Highlights

  • Engaging Activities: Interactive sessions focused on improving listening and speaking skills.
  • Fun Learning Environment: Practice English and discover the joy of speaking a new language.
  • Comprehensive Materials: All teaching materials provided to ensure a productive learning experience.

Registration Details:

  • Cost: €75 for all three afternoons
  • Included: Snack, teaching materials, and a one-year subscription to the library.


Walk and Talk | 15/04/2026 | 2:00 pm-5:30 pm

Walk and Talk

Get on those hiking boots and take some time to revel in the great outdoors! The group “Walk and Talk” organises an easy walk once a month – approximately 10 km, 2 to 3 hours in the afternoon – in order to discover or re-discover the beautiful hiking paths of the Maine-et-Loire. Come along with good walking shoes, protection against rain, cold or heat according to the season…. a bottle of water and a little “en-cas” to keep your stamina up !

Maximum number for each walk is 20.

The library’s Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m. 

Agenda:

“Assemblée Générale Ordinaire” :

  • Approval of the Annual General Meeting minutes for April 2, 2025
  • Presentation and approval of the Annual Report for 2025 and the Orientation Report for 2026
  • Approval of the 2025 accounts
  • Approval of the 2026 provisional budget
  • Elections : Two seats on the library’s board are up for election this year :
    • One seat for members representing the general public,
    • One seat to represent the students of the Université Catholique de l’Ouest.
  • Questions

Assemblée Générale Extraordinaire :

  • Presentation of new library location for fall 2026 and vote
  • Modifications to organisation bylaws

We invite members to join us at the end of the meeting for light refreshments.

Saturday Reading Group

The Saturday Reading Group is for anyone who loves to read, socialize in English, and meet new people.  For this meeting, the group will read “Mississippi Solo: A River Quest” by Eddy L. Harris.

Meetings are once a month on Saturday afternoons starting at 3 pm. Open to all library members. To sign up please contact the group coordinator at bookgroup@ellia.org.

Textile Arts & Crafts Workshop

If you enjoy exploring all forms of textile and multimedia art, this activity is for you.

We experiment with many different techniques (embroidery, weaving, patchwork, quilting, collages, dyeing techniques…) and we take pleasure in sharing and exploring various types of work together.

Some of our shared projects are displayed at the library. This year we intend to go further into the artistic side of creation.

No previous expertise required. Just come and join us!

The Book Club reads "Long Island"

The April read for the book club is “Long Island” by Colm Tobin

The Book Club meets once a month to discuss a book which will have been selected by the members of the book club.

When and where : Meetings take place at the library on Fridays from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. from September to June.

Cost: Free for library members.
