Call for book donations!

Support Our Library: Donate Your Books in English!

Are your bookshelves overflowing? Do you have books in English that you no longer need? We are collecting second-hand books in English and we need your help!

Why Donate Your Books?

  • Expand Our Collection: Books that our library doesn’t already have and are in good condition will be added to our collection, enhancing the resources available to our community.
  • Fund Our Programs: Books that we already have and are in good or fairly good condition will be sold during our October Big, Big Book Sale (BBB). 100% of proceeds from this fundraiser support our library’s programs and initiatives.
  • Recycle and Support Education: Books that cannot be kept or sold are responsibly recycled into pulp, and the proceeds are donated to a local school.

What We Accept:

  • All Books in English: We welcome all donations, regardless of the book’s condition.
  • Fiction Favorites: We are especially grateful for fiction books in good condition.

How to Donate: Bring your books to our library at 60 rue Boisnet during our operating hours, or contact us by e-mail or phone (02 41 24 97 07) to arrange a convenient drop-off time!

Your generous donations will help us continue to provide valuable resources and services to our community. Thank you for your support!

New year’s resolution : Take the Books at Heart 2024 Reading Challenge!

Take the Books at Heart 2024 Reading Challenge!

The challenge is to read twelve books in 2024, each in a different category.

Is this a competition? No, it’s just reading for pleasure from our varied collection. Your prize is to discover some great new books.

We will help you! Each month, there will be a display at the front of the library of books from one category. And, if you sign up to the challenge, we will send you occasional mails giving ideas of books to read, by category.

How to join the challenge? You can simply start reading and track your own progress. Or you can join with other readers and register for the challenge! Each time you finish reading a book for the challenge, you can complete an on-line form (author, title, your 5-star rating). Your personal progress will remain private, but we’ll publish some summaries of what people are reading.

What happens at the end of 2024? We will invite you to an “End of Challenge” celebration.
