Talk by Curtis Young "When the Blues People Sang - Part 2"

The last talk in the Speaker Series will be “When the Blues People Sang America to France – African-American soldiers in France in World War 1” by Curtis Robert Young.

Young is a historian, consultant, writer and professor of literature at ESSEC Grande Ecole. His current work celebrates the role played by African-American soldiers in 1917 France. His talk will feature “Part 2 – After the Debarkation” as the conclusion of the fascinating saga which he began last October.

No reservations necessary. The Speaker Series has been made possible through a generous grant from the American Embassy.
