This is a special moment when the community gathers together to talk about everything and anything (…in English of course!) and sips coffee and tea. Coffee House is free and open to all library members. Just drop in, no need to reserve! Coffee house is every Friday except during school holidays.
On this date we will have a special guest, author Marjorie Spruill, speaking starting at 10 am.
The library is pleased to announce a new Speaker series in English that will take place from September 2017 through June 2018 with a variety of different topics*.
The kick-off event will take place on Friday, September 15th at 10 am with Marjorie Spruill who will be talking about her controversial book “Divided We Stand: The Battle Over Women’s Rights and Family Values That Polarized American Politics.” The book focuses on the transformation of American political culture and the origins of the highly partisan, deeply polarized politics of today.
No reservations necessary. Limited seating so come early!
*This program has been made possible through a generous grant from the American Embassy.
